SFMF Townhall with Law Enforcement, Legal, Social Services and Interfaith Communities
South Florida Muslim Federation held a special meeting with Law Enforcement, Legal, Social Services and Civic Engagement communities with the aim of reaching out to the South Florida community at large. Led by federation’s Outreach Committee Chair, Maha Elkolalli, Esq., the meeting focused on presenting before the guests the work SFMF has been doing and also offer its services in various capacities.
The meeting was attended by Ariana Fajaro-Orshan, US Attorney, Broward County Commissioner Dr Barbara Sharief, and Miramar City Commissioner Yvette Colbourne; Linda Green from Faith in Florida, Devra Gelman from Americans for Immigrant Justice, Maria Rodriguez from Florida Immigrant Coalition, Mark Schneider from ACLU, and Christina Spudeas from Florida’s Children First, Kirk Brown from Handy Inc., Rae Whitley, Coach Benneby, Thomas Kennedy and David Skipp; Reverend Jim Cook and Reverend Sanford Groff from St Mark’s Episcopal Church.
